Senior Accountant

NPSCG is currently has a short-term contract / temporary opportunity for an experienced Senior Accountant who enjoys taking on new challenges and thrives in a fast-paced environment. As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for financial statement preparation and consolidation, account analysis and reconciliations, cash flow analysis, budgets, and forecasting, audit preparation, and internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. This Senior Accountant position offers you great experience and a strong compensation and benefits package and is based in our primary office located at 285 Fulton St, New York, NY. The ideal Senior Accountant will be someone seeking to succeed in a challenging environment and who has demonstrated success doing so before.

About This Role

-Ad-hoc projects as required

- Build analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)

- Organize quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors

- Put together monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting

- Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP

- Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process

- Operate with business partners to create compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, and controls and provide support on special requests

- Participate in various initiatives spanning multiple departments

- Compose Balance Sheet account reconciliations

Required Skills

The team member must have a passion for nonprofits and social change, excellent written and verbal skills, and an eagerness to take on new challenges and master new skills. Previous experience is required

Compensation will be $80,000 – $85,000 + bonuses depending on experience.
